InkTracker is shop management software for screen printing and embroidery shops. It covers a job from quote to production to invoice to payment, with a two-way sync to QuickBooks Online. The maker says other decoration methods are not on the roadmap for its first version.
How it works
Quotes pull live garment costs from S&S and AS Colour and handle color and quantity breaks, setup fees, per-imprint setups and broker margins. An approved job moves onto a production board the whole shop can see, from art approval through shipping. Invoices, payments and customers sync both ways with QuickBooks Online, so nothing is typed in twice. The plan also lists artwork proofs, a quote wizard a shop can embed on its own site, a portal for brokers, performance reports and unlimited employees.
For a shop moving over, the maker says its importer brings in a customer list and skips duplicates. Active quotes and jobs are set up with the shop’s help, while older history stays in the old system for reference. Pricing setup and the QuickBooks connection are done with the shop at no charge, which the maker says usually takes a day.
What it costs
One plan: $99 a month, or $999 a year. A 14-day free trial needs no card, and it is month to month with no contract. The maker offers the first month free to shops switching from Printavo. As a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, it also offers 30 percent off a first year of QuickBooks Online to shops setting that up.
Who makes it
Biota Mfg, a screen print shop in Reno. The maker says Biota has printed in the Reno and Tahoe area for ten years and runs its own production on InkTracker every day. Part of every subscription goes to a land conservation fund Biota operates, and the plan for that fund is published on Biota’s site.
Getting your data out
Customers, quotes, orders and invoices export as CSV at any time, the maker says, including at the moment of canceling. The QuickBooks sync also keeps invoices, payments and customers matched in QuickBooks Online.
