PrintProof is an art approval and mockup tool for print shops. The shop builds a proof with the art on the actual garment, sends it as a branded link, and the customer approves it or asks for changes from their phone, leaving a timestamped record either way. The maker names screen printing, DTF, DTG and embroidery.
How it works
The garment comes from a search of the S&S Activewear catalog by style name or number, in the exact color, or the shop uploads its own blank. Art can be placed on the front, back and both sleeves of one proof, then dragged, scaled and rotated, with the real print size set for each location. A spec panel records the job as a job, invoice, PO or work order, with the client, the dates, ink or thread colors, sizes from youth small to 5XL and quantities, plus extras like neck labels and fold and bag. An order with several garment colors or designs gets one page per variation inside the same proof.
The proof goes out as a branded email, with the shop’s logo on the shop’s own domain. The customer opens it with no login and either approves, with a typed name and a drawn signature, or declines with notes that come back to the shop. The maker says checks on uploaded art are rolling out to every plan at no extra charge: resolution, the largest clean print size, background removal, upscaling and color detection. PrintProof connects to ActionSeps DTX Live, the maker’s separation tool.
What it costs
Solo is $7.48 a month for up to 50 proofs a month. Studio is $24 a month for unlimited proofs and priority support. Paying yearly gets two months free. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial that needs no card, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. The maker calls this launch pricing and says the rate stays for anyone who signs up at it.
Who makes it
Matthew, who ran Mikey Designs, a 2,500 square foot screen printing shop, before building software. He says he has 27 years in the industry, and he also makes ActionSeps DTX Live. The terms name the operator as Mikey Designs, doing business as PrintProof.
Getting your data out
Proofs export as PDF, PNG or JPG, and as a portable .mfg file that PrintProof can reopen. The pricing section says a shop can cancel and keep every proof it has already sent.
